We’re going on a field trip! Join us for an art appreciation field tripto the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles to see the work of John August Swanson. But wait – it gets better! The artist himself will join us for lunch and guide us on a tour of this installation. Pastor Audrey met the artist during her time at Candler School of Theology, which boasts the largest repository of Swanson art in the world. After the Cathedral, we’ll head to Calvary Chapel at Biola University to view their Sacred Art Renovation project. On Jean Janzen’s recommendation, Janice Leppke and Pastor Whitney visited the chapel when they were in L.A. for Godly Play training last year. If you have any questions about the Swanson art exhibit, please talk with Pastor Audrey; for questions about the art renovation project at Biola University, please talk with Jean or Janice.
