The Worship Commission works together to develop and create worship opportunities for Sunday mornings and other worship events that are appropriate for the life of the church as we are continually renewed through our openness to God.
Sunday Worship Services
Everything we do can be an act of worship. Still, something important happens when we gather together regularly, to sing, pray, and celebrate the Lord's Supper: Our lives become centered on Christ as we immerse ourselves in the rhythms of corporate worship.
We meet at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday at 2529 Willow, Clovis.
The Worship Commission and pastors plan our services, which are typically designed around seasonal themes. A wide variety of members and guests, both men and women, are invited to preach, read Scripture, make music, and lead worship. Our style is what many would consider traditional–hymn singing, responsive readings, corporate prayers and lectionary texts are featured each Sunday.
Young people are encouraged to participate in worship services. Children ages 4 yrs.–2nd grade join the congregation for the first half of the service and are then invited, with a special blessing, to enjoy Godly Play. Nursery care is available for children up to age three.
Godly Play invites children to explore their faith through story, wonder, and play in their worship classroom following the children’s blessing.
