Snow Goose
The bird from our watershed for November is the Snow Goose. Along with the Ross’s Goose, the Snow Goose is a winter resident of the San Joaquin Valley. Their numbers peak in November-February when over a million of them typically winter in Central California.Their winter habitat is marshes and shallow bodies of water. They breed in farthest northern parts of Canada.
